Maridon root stock is a vigorous root stock that is relatively resistant to root-knot nematodes as well as bacterial canker. It is shallow-growing, and relatively tolerant of wet soils.  Maridon is compatible with almost all Japanese plum varieties- except for pioneer. Maridon is most recommended for wet and/or heavy soils.
